Promoting small scale fisheries and aquaculture transnational networking in Adriatic-Ionian macroregion

 

ARIEL PLUS is co-financed by the INTERREG VB ADRION Programme 2014-2020. The Project ARIEL PLUS is a follow-up of the previous funded project ARIEL which main goal was to promote technological and non-technological solutions for innovation up take of small-scale fishery and aquaculture in Adriatic-Ionian basin, acting as knowledge network and performing a set of transferable activities to better understand  threats and solutions for a more successful and sustainable management of policies and practices.  ARIEL PLUS maximizes the transferability and durability of the ARIEL project main outcomes towards small-scale fisheries and aquaculture stakeholders within and beyond the Adriatic and Ionian area, leveraging future initiatives and investments for smart and sustainable blue growth of coastal communities.

ARIEL PLUS Transnational networking event in Split

On 25 August 2022 Croatian partners, The Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, in cooperation with the Public Institution RERA S.D. has organized the Transnational networking event in Split, Croatia.

Capacity Building and Co-Creation Labs at the Institute of Marine Biology

Institute of Marine Biology (Kotor, Montenegro) organized the Capacity Building and Co-Creation Labs on the 16 June 2022 as a side-event of the International Scientific Conference AdriBioPro 2022.

Sealogy: preparing the future of the sustainable blue economy

Six months after the launch of the Commission communication, the Sealogy Exhibition in Ferrara proved an excellent testing ground to discuss not only the facilitating factors for a sustainable blue economy, such as investments and financing mechanisms, but also the socio-economic value of blue ecosystems and the importance of ‘blue’ knowledge, skills and innovation.

ARIEL innovation brokering approach published on Journal of International Food and & Agribusiness Marketing

University of Macerata under a cooperation agreement with Marche Region and ASSAM (Agency of Agrifood Sector Services of Marche) published a paper to present a multiple case study based on the ARIEL project innovation brokering approach and activities.

ARIEL FINAL CONFERENCE HELD ON-LINE!

The ARIEL project led to significant milestones towards innovation speed-up and uptake in small-scale fisheries and aquaculture sectors, outlining trajectories of development for future cooperation initiatives.
